According to police, Thakur Raja Singh had knowingly purchased a stolen four-wheeler that belonged to Kerala state.
Hyderabad: A corporator of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has been arrested on charge of purchasing a stolen four-wheeler and using it for the past two years. The Central Crime Station - a wing of Hyderabad Police nabbed the TDP corporator Thakur Raja Singh from Manglahat area in the city.
According to them, he had knowingly purchased the stolen four-wheeler that belonged to Kerala state, for a sum of Rs 3 lakh, after it was re-registered with fake documents in Visakhapatnam.
Police further said in order to avoid any action against him, Raja Singh had handed over the vehicle to another person recently.
Raja Singh, known for his right-wing activities, had earlier been arrested on charge of fanning communal clashes in the city in April 2010.
