New Delhi: Social activist Anna Hazare on Thursday extended his support to the farmers' movement launched by Swaraj Abhiyan, a group floated by expelled AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, which has been campaigning against the land bill.

Hazare's support came as a "big boost" for the movement which is scheduled to culminate in form of a tractor march till Parliament on August 10.

The veteran anti-graft crusader advised the group to combine "Jai Kisan with Jai Jawan", which he said are the most neglected sections of the society. Later this year, he will be sitting on an indefinite fast for speedy implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP).

"Big boost for Jai Kisan andolan: Anna Hazare extends his support. Gave kalash of earth from his village. Gratified!" Yadav tweeted.

Yadav and Bhushan was removed from AAP earlier this year by Hazare's one-time aide Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following a bitter tussle over several issues.

Through a recorded message, Hazare supported the specific demands of the movement including withdrawal of the Land Acquisition (Amendment) Bill, mandating minimum income for farmers and assured compensation against crop damage.

The tractor march is scheduled to be flagged off from Punjab's Sangrur on August 1, following which it will make its way through Uttar Pradesh before reaching the national capital.
