Rajasthan: Modi targets Gehlot government for lawlessness in the state
Modi said that both the Supreme Court and the High Court have criticised the Congress government for lawlessness in the state.

Alwar: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi targeted the ruling Congress government in Rajasthan and said that the government had failed to work for the people in the state. "Congress does not listen to the voice of the people," Modi said.

Modi also accused the state government for lawlessness in the state. "Law and order has collapsed in Rajasthan. Both the Supreme Court and the High Court have criticised the Congress government in the state," Modi said.

Modi also accused the Congress of misusing funds and taking the funds abroad. The Congress does not leave anything. The money being looted is being kept in accounts abroad," he said.

He added that the country can only develop once it has been freed from corruption. "People of Rajasthan do not want the government that has been in slumber for the last 55 months, " he said.

Targeting the state government for not being able to provide basic amenities to the people, Modi said that the "even safe drinking water was not available in the state."

Comparing Rajasthan with Gujarat, Modi said that while the former has not been able to provide even safe drinking water in the state, Gujarat has been high on the development index. "Ashok Gehlot government has not been able to provide even safe drinking water for the people. We have put such huge pipelines for water supply in Rajasthan that Mr Gehlot you and your family can take a boat ride in it," he said taking a jibe at the Rajasthan Chief Minister.
