Mulayam Singh Yadav said that some political parties are conspiring to send him and his family members to jail if SP failed to win the polls.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Monday said that some political parties are conspiring to send him and his family members to jail if Samajwadi Party failed to win the elections.

He alleged that BJP, BSP and Congress have joined hands against him and as a change of tactic they have decided to work together for the defeat of Samajwadi Party nominees.

Yadav charged BSP President Mayawati with selling party tickets to candidates for huge sums.

Talking about the farmers committing suicide in the state, Yadav said no farmer had committed suicide in the state whereas in Congress-ruled states 4700 farmers have ended their lives due to poverty.

"Farmers in Uttar Pradesh have been provided remunerative prices for their produce", PTI quoted Yadav as saying.

Yadav assured SP rebels of government posts and asked them to help the party at this crucial juncture.

He promised five sarees to poor women in case Samajwadi Party is voted back to power.
