New Delhi: Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli will fight the Maharashtra elections next month, it was reported on Saturday.
The Third Front has given Kambli a ticket to fight elections from Vikhroli, a Mumbai suburb. The 37-year old is a member of the Lok Bharti Party, which is part of the 16-party Third Front.
Kambli, once one of India's most promising cricketers, played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India.
Recently, the Mumbai player made headlines for his controversial remarks on close friend and Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar in a TV reality show.
