Fans are already very excited to see Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal together on screen. The trio will be coming together for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial Love And War. The announcement was made and now the reports are coming in that the shooting will begin this year. Pinkvilla has exclusively reported that Ranbir and Vicky will begin shooting in October and later Alia will join them in December.
Pinkvilla quoted sources saying that the film Love And War shoot will begin with Ranbir Kapoor in the first week of October, with Vicky Kaushal expected to join in around October 10. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali begins his journey on Love And War by shooting for some sole sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then moves on the friendship portions of RK and Vicky. He has planned and designed the schedule keeping the dates of his star-cast in mind,” revealed a source.
The source further added, “Alia has allotted bulk dates to YRF for the female spy universe film, Alpha. She will start Love And War after calling it a wrap on Alpha by end of November/early December.”
The film was announced earlier this year. Alia and Vicky had announced the film on Instagram. Around the same time, Pinkvilla reported that it is an original love story. “To set things straight, it’s an original love story and not, inshallah. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been very keen to take a step back from the period drama’s intense tone. He has been looking to make a love story, and this subject has been at the back of his mind for a while now. SLB feels this is the best time to make a love story and is very excited to tap this genre,” the source told the publication.
The film was announced on January 24, 2024. The film is slated to release on Christmas 2025. The news of the film was shared by Kaushal on Instagram. The post featured the announcement along with Kaushal, Bhatt and Kapoor’s signatures. Sharing the post, Vicky wrote, “An eternal cinema dream has come true. #SanjayLeelaBhansali #RanbirKapoor @aliaabhatt @prerna_singh6 @bhansaliproductions #LOVEandWAR.”
With Love and War, Ranbir and Vicky are reuniting on the big screen after Sanju and Ranbir and Alia are being paired together after Brahmastra.
