JMM suggests BJP-led govt for next two years
In a bid to solve the crisis, Shibu Soren's son has asked BJP for equal sharing of rest of the government's term.

Ranchi: In a bid to solve the crisis in Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, son of Chief Minister and JMM chief Shibu Soren, has proposed to its coalition partner BJP equal sharing of rest of the government's term.

Hemant who flew to Delhi Thursday night to meet BJP President Nitin Gadkari, has suggested a BJP CM for the first half and a JMM CM for the second. This came after hectic parleys between the two parties on Friday.

The BJP has again sought letters of support from all 18 JMM MLAs so that a stable BJP-led government could take over. The BJP has also asked an assurance from the JMM that the government will last for the rest of the term. The BJP is keen to implement Gadkari's 'politics of progress and development' formula for the backward state.

There is a crisis in the state government after the BJP decided to withdraw support to the Soren-led government after the JMM chief voted for the UPA government at the Centre in the cut motions in Lok Sabha on April 28. But the BJP put its decision on hold after Hemant offered to transfer power.

Hemant Soren has resigned as Dumka MLA so that his father can get elected to the Assembly. Shibu Soren is a Lok Sabha MP and needs to get elected to the Assembly within six months of the formation of government. He has only two months left for that.
