New Delhi: Properties of Revenue Minister Arvinder Singh has recorded a three-fold increase from around Rs 31 lakh to Rs 92 lakh in the past five years.
Singh, a three-time MLA from Gandhi Nagar, on Wednesday filed his nomination and in his affidavit declared Rs 32.5 lakh in cash and deposits and properties worth Rs 60 lakh.
In 2008, Singh had cash and deposits worth Rs 25.2 lakhs and property worth Rs 6 lakh.
Along with Singh, his wife Gurveen Kaur also filed her nomination from Gandhi Nagar. She has declared total assets of Rs 1.6 crore which includes Rs 53.89 lakh in cash deposits and jewellery.
Kaur owns 1.3 kg gold worth Rs 37.4 lakh, 5.7 Kg silver utensils valued at Rs 3.2 lakh and diamond jewellery worth Rs 2.1 lakh. Kaur declared all the assets were acquired as inherited before marriage as gifts on various occasions.
The couple own one each residential plot in Delhi. Arvinder Singh owns a residential property in Vishwas Nagar and Kaur owns a residential plot in East Azad Nagar.
As per their affidavits, Singh does not own any commercial property but in his wife's name there is a commercial property mentioned in Gurgaon.
Besides that, under his two sons' names Rs 13.59 lakh and Rs 2.07 lakh worth cash and deposits are respectively mentioned.
There are no criminal cases against Singh, as per the affidavit.
