Jaipur: Celebrations broke out on Saturday night outside the venue of Congress Chintan Shivir in Jaipur after Rahul Gandhi was made the party Vice President with numerous young workers setting off crackers, beating drums and shouting slogans welcoming the decision. As soon as the announcement was made at the venue by Congress chief spokesman Janardan Dwivedi, thousands of NSUI, Youth Congress workers and partymen, who had assembled at different places near the Birla auditorium, broke into celebrations.
A truck decorated with the posters and banners containing the picture of Rahul Gandhi and flags of NSUI was brought outside the venue by NSUI leader Pawan Godara and his supporters ahead of the announcement.
A large number of college-going youths danced outside the venue to welcome the decision of the party to make Rahul Gandhi the Vice President.
