English pacer Jofra Archer was spotted bowling to Harry Brook during a nets session.
Archer was invited as a special guest at England’s training session ahead of their ODI decider against the West Indies. His recent injury has prevented the speedster from featuring for England since May 2023.
In a fan-uploaded video, Archer can be seen bowling to Brook leaving his countrymate stunned in the practice session.

Archer suffered a recurrence of an elbow stress fracture while playing in the Indian Premier League earlier this year. This saw him miss out on the World Cup in India.
It was initially decided that the player would be an active member of the England squad for the premier tournament but the ECB’s medical reports later suggested that the best-case scenario for the English pacer would travel as a reserve.
He bowled in the nets at The Oval before England’s bilateral series against New Zealand in mid-September. He then soon linked up with his team in Mumbai but after two light training sessions, Archer was already on a plane back home.
It was reported that the bowler was experiencing pain in his elbow in those sessions which also ruled him out from England’s ongoing series against the West Indies.
Since that incident, no timeframe has been put on Archer’s return from the latest setback. He spent a major portion of his time rehabilitating on the island where he was born and raised and is currently looking in good shape.
Given the recent developments, it is likely we will see Archer make an international return soon but nothing has been made official yet.
While Archer continues to train with his squad in the Caribbean, England’s Managing Director Rob Key made it abundantly clear that they are in dire need of their pacer. “We’re desperate for Jofra”, Key said as per ESPNCricinfo. “We take that bet with that we want him back fit and able to play for England, because of the upside”.
England will be playing their third and final ODI of their bilateral series against the West Indies on Saturday. With the series currently being tied 1-1 it will be interesting to see if the visitors can seal a win at the Kensington Oval Barbados.
