Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that there will be no sale of liquor in the state on the day of Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22 and the day will be celebrated as a ‘National Festival’. It will also be a holiday in all educational institutions in the state.

The CM asked for orders on the liquor sale ban to be issued during his visit to Ayodhya on January 9. Visitors will get unforgettable hospitality in Ayodhya and all government buildings should be decorated on January 22 with arrangements being made for fireworks, the Chief Minister has directed.

He also asked for the implementation of the ‘Kumbh Model’ of cleanliness in Ayodhya and a cleanliness campaign will start in Ayodhya on January 14. “There will be no compromise on cleanliness and security. Resting place of VVIPs should be decided in advance. Tourist guides will introduce the devotees and tourists coming to Ayodhyadham to the glory of the new, divine and grand Ayodhya,” the CM has said.

A verification will be done of all outsiders residing in Ayodhya. The Chief Minister said that the dignitaries coming for the consecration ceremony should get best hospitality. The resting place of each VVIP should be selected in advance. Considering the weather, it is possible that some guests may arrive a day or two earlier, in such a situation, better arrangements should be made for their stay.

The CM said that there are hotels and dharamshalas in Ayodhya along with home stay arrangements. There is a need to further increase the number of tent cities. On the lines of Kumbh, prepare a grand tent city on 25-50 acres in Ayodhya, the CM has directed officials.

The CM said that after January 22, Ram devotees from all over the world will arrive in Ayodhya. For their convenience, signage in different languages should be installed throughout the city. Signage should be in the languages included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution and six languages of the United Nations.

“There should be no dust or filth on major roads or streets like Dharma Path, Janmabhoomi Path, Bhakti Path, Ram Path. Currently, more than 3,800 sanitation workers are deployed, and the number of employees should be increased by 1,500 more,” the CM said.

Adityanath said Ayodhya should become a polythene-free city. Deepotsav will be celebrated at every temple in the state in the evening on January 22. The Chief Minister also said that 10-bed health centers should be prepared in all tent cities. He said not even a single person resting for the night in Ayodhya should shiver in the cold. He also said that the route from Lucknow, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur to Ayodhya should be kept ready as a green corridor and a better action plan for parking and traffic management should be made for the January 22 function.
