Men Dangerously Entering a Mumbai Local Even Before Door Opens Has Internet Feeling 'Anxious'

Just like the Delhi Metro and Bengaluru traffic, the Mumbai local train is in the news every now and then for multiple reasons. At times, it is a heated brawl and then there are times when it is people who are performing dangerous stunts. Now, a video which has gone viral depicts a regular day in a Mumbai local but has still managed to shock people on social media. Uploaded on Reddit, the video shows a local train which is yet to open for passengers to enter. However, even before the gates open, passengers have started flocking in, completely damaging the atmosphere.

The video begins the door opening a little as people can be seen banging their hands on it. A man standing inside the train tries to calm the situation and asks people to stop but no one listens. Just when the door opens a little, people start adjusting and entering inside. The video has shocked many people on Reddit. “Automatic doors in Mumbai trains,” wrote the uploader as he tried to understand the terrifying situation. Here, have a look for yourself:

While many people are stunned as to what happens in a Mumbai local, one person wrote, “They have no choice. They need to go to work, school whatever and local trains are the only practical option for most. Eventually, you get the hang of it.” Another person mentioned, “It sucks to do that everyday. Every morning I have to travel like that. My arms and legs hurt as hell at night. Back and stomach hurts as well because of all the pressure of people standing in front and in the back.”

This is not the first time that such a video has surfaced. Earlier, a viral video showed a moving local train which was just about to stop at a station. However, before it could stop, women have started entering the train as they run to save themselves a seat. The video does not only depict a very regular day for these women but also highlights the harmful stunt that all of them are pulling. The ‘X’ user who uploaded the video has pointed out how this has been glamorised by many people.
