Taking to the social media platform, the man explained that he placed an order for a MacBook Air M1 via Amazon on October 7 at a great deal of 63,000 INR. The order was then processed smoothly and was scheduled for delivery. When the delivery person arrived, he requested the OTP. “I had confirmed it was not an Open Box delivery with customer support,” he explained. The man was handed over the package. “I began recording the unboxing, only to discover a BROKEN HP PAVILION inside the box, as good as a paper weight. It was a moment of disbelief, something you hope never happens to you,” he wrote.

The man has reported this issue to Amazon support, given the 14-day replacement warranty. He has also reached out through various emails, from the seller to Amazon’s support and helplines. However, no action has been taken so far.

He explained that he is seeking advice on additional steps to take. “Considering the laptop’s price has increased since my purchase, I’m concerned about potential extra costs. Has anyone here experienced a similar situation before?” the man enquired.
