New Zealand will be hoping to get back to winning ways as they face South Africa next in their World Cup fixture. Kane Williamson has been ruled out for the match, and the skipper’s fitness will be evaluated ahead of the Kiwis’ next game against Pakistan.

The Black Caps beat England by nine wickets to begin their quest for international glory in India. Having made back-to-back finals in the tournament, New Zealand looked determined to secure another spot in the playoffs early with their run. They won four straight matches before finally conceding their first loss of the tournament against the hosts India. They lost that match by four wickets, thanks to a 95-run knock from Virat Kohli. In their last game, the Kiwis conceded a narrow five-run defeat against Australia. Rachin Ravindra played a phenomenal 116-run knock in the game but it just wasn’t enough to secure a win.

The two cricketing giants will clash at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on November 1. South Africa have shown up on Indian soil, smashing some of the biggest teams in their World Cup campaign. They made quick work of the Aussies before winning narrowly by a single wicket against Pakistan. Amid such dominant performances, South Africa lost a shocker to the Netherlands. With only one loss on their mantle, South Africa look on course to make the playoff stage. They will hope to continue their good run against New Zealand in their upcoming game.
