The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have lodged an official complaint to ICC complaining about ‘inappropriate conduct’ towards Pakistan players during the India vs Pakistan clash in Ahmedabad on October 14. One of the most anticipated games of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, the match ended up being a one-sided affair as India hammered Babar Azam’s men by 7 wickets.

The PCB have also lodged a complaint against BCCI over the delay of visas provided to Pakistan journalists, and the ‘absence’ of visa policy for Pakistan fans.

‘The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023,” it informed further.
Rohit Sharma-led Indian team dished out a clinical display against Pakistan, picking up a second consecutive win this year, and made it 8-0 against their neighbours in the history of the ODI World Cup.
Babar himself scored a fifty while Mohammad Rizwan scored 49 runs but both players were allegedly targetted by fans.
PCB have now taken the matter to ICC, although it remains to be seen whether the governing body will intervene in the matter. Earlier, PAK team director Mickey Arthur also complained about the World Cup game feeling like a ‘BCCI event’.
