The deadline for registration for the PhD entrance test at the University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) is approaching. Candidates who wish to apply for the exam can submit their forms on phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in until September 15. The original deadline was September 8, but it was extended. For candidates who want to make any changes to the application forms, the NTA will open a correction window on September 16 and will close on September 17.
Anyone who has completed their postgraduate (PG) or qualifying examination (QQ), or those who intend to take the aptitude test in 2023, can apply. Importantly, there are no age restrictions, meaning that candidates of all ages have the opportunity to pursue their academic goals through this exam.

Step 2: Open the registration page, key in your details and submit. Your login credentials will be generated.
Step 3: Candidates need to log in and fill out the application form.
Step 4: Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
Step 5: At last, submit the form and save the confirmation page.
NTA PhD Entrance Exam: Application Fees
Regarding the NTA PhD entrance fee, it’s Rs 1,200 for general category students, Rs 1100 for students belonging to SC, ST, and third gender, and Rs 1000 for PwBD category students.
NTA PhD Entrance Exam Pattern
In the PhD entrance exam, most of the question papers will be in English, except for the Language papers. The exam will be conducted on a computer in a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, with a total of 100 questions to be answered within a 3-hour or 180-minute time frame. Students can choose any of the 97 cities where the NTA PhD entrance Paper 2023 will be held online.
There are a total of one hundred subjects available for candidates to choose from for admission to a PhD programme across all four universities. The entrance paper will consist of two sections: section 1 on research methodology and section 2 on the specific subject chosen by the candidate. A candidate can select up to three courses if the timing of the two papers doesn’t clash.
