The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) recently issued the exam instructions for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) 2024 January session. As per the schedule, the CSEET 2024 exam will be conducted on January 6, 2024. The online registration for the CSEET 2024 January session is currently underway. Candidates can apply for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test by visiting the official website at icsi.edu until Friday, December 15, 2023.
Instead of being administered at test centres, the CSEET will be administered remotely this year. “Candidates are allowed to appear for the CSEET using their own laptop or desktop from home/ such other convenient and isolated place. Candidates shall not be allowed to appear in CSEET by using Mobile Phone, Tablet, Palmtop, etc,” read an official notice.
Passing the CSEET is one of the mandatory requirements for all candidates seeking registration to the Executive Programme of the Company Secretary Course, except those who are exempt from taking the CSEET, the notice adds.
ICSI CSEET 2024: Important Guidelines
–– Candidates are not permitted to use a mobile phone, earphones, headphones, or any other device.
–– They can’t read a book or use paper, a pen/pencil, a writing pad(s), a notebook, or anything else.
–– The presence of any other person in the room will be prohibited.
–– Applicants will not be permitted to leave the workstation until the test has been completed.
–– Candidates must concentrate on the computer screen.
–– Photographs of the screen, questions, or answer options are not permitted.
–– They won’t be able to loudly respond to options or read questions.
ICSI CSEET 2024: Section Wise Mark Breakdown
The marks for each paper in the computer-based CSEET in the multiple choice question (MCQ) pattern will be distributed as follows:
1. Business Communication: (Questions 35) – 50 Marks
2. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning: (Questions 35) – 50 Marks
3. Economic and Business Environment: (Questions 35) – 50 Marks
4. Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude: (Questions 35) – 50 Marks
The examination question paper will exclusively appear in English on the computer screen. Candidates are required to log in to the test portal 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the exam. It’s essential to note that no candidate will be allowed to enter the test after 15 minutes from the commencement, and completion of the test is restricted until 90 minutes from the test’s initiation. Adherence to these guidelines is crucial for all candidates participating in the examination. Candidates will be continuously monitored by the supervisor, known as the Proctor, via video/audio mode.
