CBSE Class 10, 12 Practical Exam 2024 to Begin from November 14 for Winter-Bound Schools
The CBSE will conduct the Practical examinations for class 10 and 12 students from the winter-bound schools starting from November 14 up until December 14

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the practical examination dates for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in winter-bound schools. CBSE is set to start conducting its practical examinations 2024 on November 14. On the board’s official website, cbse.gov.in, schools and those who will be taking the CBSE Board examinations 2024 may review the practical exam guidelines and other crucial information.

CBSE has also highlighted that these guidelines and dates only apply to schools that are winter-bound and do not apply to regular session institutions.

The CBSE will conduct the Practical examinations for class 10 and 12 students from the winter-bound schools starting from November 14 up until December 14. All schools are required to compile a final list of the students who will be taking the board exams. Furthermore, CBSE has mandated that practical exams/projects/internal evaluations be conducted in accordance with the board’s rules and regulations.

The Board has informed that will not assign an external examiner to carry out the class 10 practicals, nor will it offer practical answer booklets as all agreements must be made at the school level. In contrast, for the Class 12 practical exam, the Board will choose independent examiners in each school who will administer the practical test and project assessments.

According to the CBSE guidelines, practical assessments should be administered in multiple sessions throughout the day in the event that there are over 30 students in a sitting to guarantee a fair and accurate evaluation.

The Practical exam marks are to be submitted all at once on the day the practical examinations come to an end. The uploading of marks must be completed before the last day of the practical exams since no requests for extensions of the dates will be accepted by the Board.

All students must attend their practical test only on the days that are specified, and students who are unable to attend them for whatever reason will be rescheduled only on the dates specified. The Board will not consider any request for special exemptions that goes beyond the scope of the practical exam timetable.

If a student is absent from the current session’s Practical Examination/Project/Internal Assessment, etc., the student must be marked “Absent” in the online system. If a student fails to appear for the practical examination for any reason and the Examination/Project Assessment is rescheduled, they will be marked as “Re-scheduled” rather than “Absent.”
