Vicky Jain’s mother has weighed in on Ankita Lokhande’s recent statements about divorce. The actress left everyone in shock when she opened up about the thoughts of getting a divorce on Bigg Boss 17. Ankita dropped the divorce bomb following the intense fights between her and Vicky. While fans are waiting to see how Vicky and Ankita will sail through the turbulent tides, Vicky’s mother believes these thoughts are temporary.
Speaking with India Today, Vicky’s mother said, “People around also keep asking us what is happening between them. It is really difficult to explain to them how this show works but we are at peace knowing that all this is temporary. They will be back together, stronger once they are outside. All this is just a lie.”
She added that Bigg Boss is not a show for newlywed couple. Vicky’s mother said the family knew there would be fights but did not imagine Vicky and Ankita would be fighting among each other. “We have been watching the show for 17 years. We did think there would be fights but never thought they would fight between themselves. This was such a wrong move from a newlywed couple,” she said.
Ankita first mentioned divorce in an episode last month. The Pavitra Rishta star asked Vicky for a divorce after Vicky’s comments about marriage left Ankita upset. In an episode in December, Ayesha Khan asked Vicky about his married life to which the latter joked and said about the sufferings of a married man. This left Ankita disappointed and upset.
She confronted her husband and asked him the reason for saying such things. “I can never really say how I feel. This is what married people, especially men go through. They can’t really tell what they really go through and what they suffer,” Vicky told her.
This left Ankita even more upset. She then asked Vicky for divorce if he feels this way. “If you suffer so much then why are you with me? Let’s take a divorce, I don’t want to go back home with you,” she said as quoted by E-Times.
Ankita and Vicky tied the knot in December 2021.
