Timothee Chalamet is set to return as the host for Saturday Night Live on November 11. In the promo, he can be seen taking a stroll around the empty studio set, giving viewers a sneak peek into this week’s episode. In the clip, the Dune actor Chalamet imagines the rich history of the New York City studio where SNL is recorded and felt grateful for the hosting opportunity. However, his joy takes a humorous and unexpected turn when he discovers the set is undergoing fumigation and realises that he’s been unintentionally breathing the toxic air. In classic SNL style, Chalamet jokes about being a New Yorker and immune to the poisonous fumes.

In a 58 second promo, Chalamet explores the SNL studio with headphones on, witnessing iconic elements like the clock and cue card area. As he looks at the stage, fellow artists Mikey Day and Sarah Sherman warn him about the fumigation process and informs the actor, “You’re breathing in poison." Ignoring their warning, the Call Me by Your Name star confidently responds, “Its fine, I grew up in New York. I’m immune."

Timothee Chalamet, who previously hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live with Bruce Springsteen in Season 46, is set to return as the host for a second time. He will be joined by Boygenius, the musical group featuring Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, who will perform at the show. Their appearance comes just weeks after the release of their new four track album titled The Rest.

According to Deadline, Chalamet will become the first movie star to host SNL 2023 following the end of SAG-AFTRA strike. Prior to his episode, the new season featured stand up comedians like Nate Bargatze and Pete Davidson, along with rapper Bad Bunny taking on hosting duties.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing 49th season of Saturday Night Live, the makers recently revealed that Jason Momoa, who will be seen in DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, will be hosting the episode on November 18. Joining him as the musical guest will be Tate McRae.

On the work front, Timothee Chalamet is gearing up for the release of Wonka, scheduled to hit theatres in December. On the other hand, fans can look forward to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two also featuring Dave Bautista and Zendaya, slated for release in 2024.
