A 28-year-old man who was working at a private bank in Mumbai allegedly died by jumping off the Bandra-Worli Sea Link on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Akash Singh, was a resident of Parel located in central Mumbai.
As per officials of the Worli police, he boarded a taxi for going from Bandra-Kurla Complex to Parel on Friday night but on his way asked the driver to take him to the Sea Link. Singh was talking on phone while on the bridge and suddenly claimed that his mobile phone had fallen out, the official added.
As the driver pulled over to the side, Singh got down and jumped into the sea. The official further said that the deceased’s body was fished out later in the night.
As per preliminary investigations, Singh lived with his parents and had gone through a break-up with his girlfriend three months ago.
