Prasad and Amruta’s chemistry came together during the Chandramukhi movie. Amruta beautifully donned the role of Chandramukhi’s character on the screen. In several interviews, the actress said that she had to increase her weight by 8 kilos for this movie. Despite being a fitness freak, the actress accepted this role. She said that her mother used to feed her the food which she used to give her pregnant sister. The actress also claimed that some of her fans allegedly called her pregnant due to weight gain.
Chandramukhi was well received by the Marathi audience and critics. Amruta had said in several interviews that Prasad Oak is my favourite director. The actress also said that this movie was a life-altering experience for her. This was the first titular role for the actress.
