Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finalised their divorce in November last year, nearly two years after she petitioned to end their years-long marriage. Kim and Kanye have four children together: 10-year-old North, 7-year-old Saint, 5-year-old Chicago, and 4-year-old Psalm. Time and again, Kim has opened up about her struggles as a single parent. Recently, Kim shared that her daughter North likes to spend time with her father more and calls him the “best” parent.
In a recent episode of the reality show The Kardashians, Kim narrated to her sister Kourtney, a conversation she had with North during which her eldest daughter stated that Kanye is “the best” since, unlike her mother, he does not have a nanny or personal chef. She stated, “She’ll (North West) go to her dads and she’ll be like, ‘Dad is the best. He has it all figured out. He doesn’t have a nanny. He doesn’t have a chef. He doesn’t have security. He lives in an apartment. And she’ll start crying, ‘Why don’t you have an apartment? I can’t believe we don’t have an apartment.”
Replying to her sister Kim, Kourtney shared that the situation is quite similar to the three children she has with Scott Disick. Kourtney said that her children mostly say “the vibe is better” at their father’s home. Later, Kourtney remarked, I think everything falls on the parent that’s more involved.”
This is not the first time Kim Kardashian has opened up about parenting. During her appearance on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast in May, she stated, “It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. There is nothing that can prepare you. I don’t care how long you wait. I don’t care what you’re waiting for. You are never prepared,” as quoted by E! News. She added that while someone is never fully prepared, she is happy to go through this chapter in her life. “You will figure it out, and it will make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out and that you got through the day,” she added.
In an earlier episode of The Kardashians, Kim shared how her daughter North is doing in the house and with her siblings. She stated, “I feel like North is like, lives her life like an only child, does her thing.” On the other hand, she added, that Chicago and Psalm, who are a year apart, are almost like twins and “ they’re always together.” Further, she said that Saint loves the younger ones, and he would love North as well only if she spent more time with them.
