Released on October 6, Mission Raniganj had opened at the box office with Rs 2.80 crore. It then saw a big jump on its second and third day and earned Rs 4.80 crore and Rs 5 crore respectively. The film then dropped to Rs 1.50 crore on day four and stayed the same on day five too. Recently, Akshay Kumar also opened up about Mission Raniganj’s underperformance at the box office and mentioned that despite everything, it is his ‘best film’. “I love the fact that I own it. ‘Mission Raniganj’ – the business of the film is not up to the mark. But I openly say, I have done many films. I’ve done 100-150 films, but ‘Mission Raniganj’ is my best film, and that’s a big statement to make. I’m talking about a film which has not done well, but this is my best film. I hope people come out to go and watch it in theatres. It is an honest film. It is a film which I’m very, very, very proud of,” he told India Today.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff.
