Even though Munawar Faruqui enjoys a massive fan following, several people have repeatedly questioned his performance inside the Bigg Boss 17 house. In the recent episode of Salman Khan’s controversial reality show, Isha Malviya also expressed her opinion when she called the stand-up comedian undeserving.
Isha argued that Munawar has not been doing anything extraordinary in the show. She went on to say that even though he won Lock Upp, he “lacks the X factor” for Bigg Boss.
“Apart from Munawar, I see all other contestants as my competitors. I couldn’t compliment anything about Munawar’s journey in the Bigg Boss house as I didn’t find him doing anything in the show apart from Aayesha’s downfall there is nothing extraordinary that he did in the show,” Isha said.
“His (Munawar Faruqui) name is big outside because he won the reality show Lock Upp and came here. Otherwise, if he would have been a normal person like me, I don’t think he would have been a deserving contestant on the show in the 12th week. I think he lacks the X factor that a Bigg Boss contestant should have,” the former Udaariyaan actress added.
Previously, Salman Khan also criticised Munawar during the Weekend Ka Vaar and called him “thandi cheez”. “Is ghar mein aapki dosti ho, dushmani ho, harr baat ko adhura chod dete ho. Sach baat toh yeh hai Munawar ki kal is ghar se nikal bhi jaate hai toh iss ghar ki story par koi farq nahi padega (Be it your friendship or enmity in this house, you leave every matter incomplete. The fact is even if Munawar leaves this house tomorrow it won’t make a difference to the story of this house),” Khan said.
Bigg Boss 17 premiered in October 2023. The show is likely to have its grand finale on January 28, 2024. Contestants who are left inside the Bigg Boss 17 house are Mannara Chopra, Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Abhishek Kumar, Aoora, Samarth Jurel, Isha Malviya, Ayesha Khan and Arun Mashettey.
