Yodha Star Raashii Khanna Performs Griha Pravesh Puja At Her Hyderabad Home, Pics Inside

Raashii Khanna has made a reputation for herself both in the South and Hindi film industries. She made her acting debut back in 2013 and is counted among the top performers in showbiz. The actress, who has received a lot of favourable feedback for her performance in the recently released film Yodha, has bought her third house in Hyderabad. Reportedly, this purchase comes after the notable properties she acquired back in 2015 and 2017.

Raashii Khanna organised an intimate housewarming event to celebrate her new house. She invited her family and close friends to the ‘griha pravesh’ puja. The photographs, now doing the rounds on social media, show the Yodha actress engrossed in the occasion. Dressed in a traditional outfit, Raashii is accompanied by her family members. She could be seen dedicatedly performing the rituals with her family by her side. Many of her fans congratulated her on the new house. One of them commended her saying, “She’s Punjabi and settled in the South with whole heart.”

Meanwhile, while Raashii Khanna’s performance in Yodha has been appreciated, the film has not done well in terms of box office collections. Sharing her insights into why the film struggled commercially, the actress told India Today, “Maybe there’s somebody who loves it, then somebody who hates it. There’ll always be all kinds of people, but obviously, we want, when the film is released, a lot of people should like it. I think the challenge has been to bring them to theatres still, because now everyone knows that the film will be released on OTT.”

The actress admitted that she at times waits for films to release on OTT, as otherwise she is occupied with work. She mentioned that this is the case with everyone. She added, “I don’t think ‘Yodha’ is a bad film at all, so that’s fine. I think every film has its destiny, and you just learn from it and then move on to your next.”

On the other hand, the actress is preparing for the release of The Sabarmati Report, in which she will share screen space alongside Vikrant Massey. The teaser for the film was recently released and provides an insight into what happened leading up to the Godhra riots. The film, directed by Ranjan Chandel, will be released in theatres on May 3.
