As Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan issued a joint statement confirming their separation, the actor tweeted on Monday evening requesting media not to speculate and asked for priavcy. The actor-filmmaker tweeted, "Humble request to the media, stop speculating and leave us alone. Will talk when ready, please respect our privacy.(sic)"
News of the couple getting divorced had been doing the rounds for a long time but both had maintained stoic silence on the matter. In fact, when the news had first floated on social media, Arbaaz was quick to post a message denying the news.
The couple got married in 1998 and have a 13-year-old son.
