Following the success of her last film Animal, Triptii Dimri is now headed for the release of the much anticipated Bad Newz. The upcoming romantic-comedy stars Triptii Dimri, Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. Engrossed in a promotional spree, Triptii is eagerly waiting for her fans to meet Saloni Bagga, her character in the upcoming film. How do we know? A recent post by the actress on Instagram says so.
Looking stunning in a white cut-out dress, Triptii Dimri left us all gasping for breath with her recent bunch of pictures on social media. The snapshots featured the actress looking away from the camera for some breathtaking pictures. In a few frames, we can also see getting her makeup done for a promotional event. Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “Can’t wait for y’all to meet Saloni Bagga. Bad Newz in cinemas 19th July.”
Before Animal, Triptii Dimri proved her versatility as an actress in films like Qala, Bulbul and Laila Majnu. Despite being an impeccable talent, she found a comedy ‘little difficult’. In an interview with IANS, the actress divulged the difficulties she encountered while performing the comedy scenes during the filming of Bad Newz.
“I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning. But in a way, it was really good for me,” Triptii Dimri said. Further, the actress complimented her director, Anand Tiwari, for providing her the opportunity to explore a new genre. “It was more tough for me, particularly with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, because they are extremely gifted and have excellent comic timing. “It was difficult but a valuable learning experience,” the actress added.
Bad Newz is the sequel to the 2019 film Good News. The film starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Meanwhile, the storyline of Bad Newz focuses on the unusual notion of heteropaternal superfecundation as Triptii’s character gets pregnant with two fathers. The film will hit the theaters on July 19. It is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
