Bollywood’s First Female Superstar aka Sridevi is one of India’s most iconic actresses. She was born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan on August 13, 1963, in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India. Sridevi was born into a Tamil family and began acting at a very young age of four. She made her debut as a child artist in the Tamil film Thunaivan (1969).
Bollywood too noticed her potential and she debuted at the age of 12; she played the role of Lakshmi’s younger sister in the movie Julie (1975).
Her relationship with Bollywood film producer Boney Kapoor stirred a lot of controversy as he was already married. He separated from his first wife and married Sridevi on June 2, 1996.
