Silambarasan TR Teams Up With Director Ashwath Marimuthu For His Next

Actor Silambarasan TR, last seen in the 2023 Tamil action thriller Pathu Thala, announced his next project on Monday. According to the latest report, the actor is all set to collaborate with director Ashwath Marimuthu for his upcoming project.

Silambarasan has announced his new project sharing a poster of himself on his official X handle. In the poster, Silambarasan is seen in a rowdy avatar. He is seen wearing a white T-shirt, teamed with a white shirt and blue denim. His look was accessorised with a black chain, rings and bracelets. Along with this, a singing symbol and a mini heart tattoo are seen on his neck.

Sharing the poster, the actor wrote, “Extremely happy to associate with our prestigious @Ags_production and my dear fan, the talented and youthful director @Dir_Ashwath, for a terrific entertainer. Take a look at the poster:

The poster went viral in no time and garnered 1 million views.

The upcoming film will be directed by filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu, currently working with Pradeep Ranganathan in Dragon. Silambarasan’s new film will be backed by AGS Productions.

While the makers have not yet revealed much about the film, earlier, while teasing the film, Silambarasan hinted that the film will bring back the vintage version of himself.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview session, Ashwath Marimuthu said, “This film will bring back the vintage @SilambarasanTR_ in this new era to set the screens on fire for his STR blood and I take it as a responsibility.” The upcoming project will mark the first time Ashwath will be working with Silambarasan. Other cast and crew details of the film have not yet been announced.

Aswath Marimuthu is currently busy with Pradeep Ranganathan for a film titled Dragon, backed by AGS Productions.

On the other hand, Silambarasan is currently working on the Tamil-language action drama film Thug Life. The film is directed by Mani Ratnam and stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role, alongside Silambarasan, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Ashok Selvan, Pankaj Tripathi, Nassar, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami Gopikumar, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf and Vaiyapuri.
