India is known for its rich cultural tapestry and diverse heritage. It continues to celebrate its ancient traditions, while embracing modernity. A dance competition will be organised to promote talented traditional dance artists across the country by All India Online Dance Competition. Janaki, the director of the organisation of All India Online Dance competition, announces this event which is going to begin on July 28 under the auspices of the School of Theatre arts, Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). The details of the competition have been revealed. The dance competition will be organised in duet and group categories in Janapada, classical dances along with group dances with patriotic themes.
The winners of the finals in the junior and the senior team category will be handed over an amount of Rs 50,000 as the first prize, Rs 25,000 as second prize and Rs 15,000 as third prize along with trophies. For the best performances in the categories of patriotic, folk, and classical dance in both group and duet divisions will be awarded first, second, third and consolation trophies. Participants aged between 10 and 15 years will be considered juniors, while those aged 16 years and above will be considered seniors.
Artists from schools, colleges, dance halls and cultural organisations across the country can also participate in these competitions. All the participants will also be handed over with certificates.
Janaki also claimed that the best selected duets and teams from All India level online competitions will participate in the grand finale, which will be held offline in Visakhapatnam. In this ceremony, the winners of the grand finals will be awarded with the Vikasit Bharat Dance trophy along with cash as incentives. Those who are interested should register their names.
This initiative not only provides a platform for dancers to gain acknowledgement but also raises a sense of unity and cultural appreciation through the art of dance. The organisers are keen to see a diverse range of performances and are excited about the talent that will emerge from this national event.
