New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra is all set to deliver this year's Penguin Annual Lecture on the theme 'Breaking the Glass Ceiling - Chasing a dream'.
Publishers Penguin Random House India announced in a press release that the 35-year-old "Quantico" star will give the address on December 26 here.
"Priyanka Chopra is an icon for today's young Indians who identify with her drive, passion, intelligence and charisma.
She has been a social media trendsetter and has a massive fan base across the globe.
"Much loved and admired as an artiste by people in India and around the world, she is also recognised as a global Indian - a woman who has broken the glass ceiling to reach the highest echelons of international stardom - and for her philanthropic work as Unicef's global goodwill ambassador," read the release.
Eleventh in the series, the publisher aims to spread the thrill of fresh ideas to a new generation of readers, thinkers and future achievers with the lecture.
Over the past 10 years, speakers have included thought leaders such as Dalai Lama, A P J Abdul Kalam, Amartya Sen, Thomas Friedman, Amitabh Bachchan, Ramachandra Guha, and authors from both India and abroad such as Dan Brown, Jeff Kinney and Ruskin Bond.
The event will be telecast and webcast live.
