Padmavati Row: Deepika Padukone's Problems Might Benefit Kapil Sharma
While Firangi was supposed to be released on November 24, since Padmavati relinquished its December 1 slot, the team behind the Kapil Sharma comedy are considering taking it.

One person's loss is another's gain. Since the makers of Padmavati announced the delay of the film's release from its original date of December 1, producers of Kapil Sharma-starrer Firangi are thinking of claiming the date. While Firangi was supposed to be released on November 24, since Padmavati relinquished its slot, the team behind the Kapil Sharma comedy are considering taking it.

While this will give Firangi a two week clear run at the box office before Fukrey 2 releases, it might also give Kapil a longer respite from grueling promotional events and allow him to gather his resources. The comedian has long been plagued by physical as well as mental health issues, for which he received treatment.

A source said, "The film has been sent to the CBFC (Central Board Of Film Certification), but it has not been certified yet. The certification might happen today. In that case, the film will stick to its original release date (November 24). But now that Padmavati has moved, the producers are also thinking about taking up the vacant December 1 slot.”
