Actress Mallika Sherawat has reportedly been attacked and robbed by three masked intruders outside her Paris apartment block. If the report that had first appeared in Le Parisien is anything to go by, Sherawat - who has been trying hard to make it big internationally - was attacked by intruders who ‘without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them’.
The alleged assault happened when Sherawat and her unidentified male friend reached her residential building at 9.40 pm, reports The Telegraph. The incident happens weeks after popular reality TV star Kim Kardashian was robbed in the French capital.
After attacking the couple with tear gas and punches, the intruders fled, leaving them in a state of shock. Later, the couple called the emergency services.
A criminal investigation has been set up, with detectives assessing the reason behind the alleged attack.
Sherawat has made to headlines for similar incidents in the past too. According to a Mid-Day report, Sherawat escaped an attack in Jaipur in 2013 when she was filming the biopic of Bhanwari Devi.
According to The Times of India, the police arrested a criminal in 2011 who had planned an attack on Sherawat in her Bandra flat in Mumbai.
