Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor arrived for Malaika Arora’s father’s prayer meeting in Mumbai. Malaika’s father, Anil Kuldip Mehta passed away 13 days ago in Mumbai. Malaika Arora, her sister Amrita Arora and her mother Joyce Polycarp held a prayer meeting in the city on September 23, Monday.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Arhaan Khan among others were seen arriving for the prayer meeting to offer their condolences and pay their last respects to Anil Mehta.

Malaika Arora is navigating a difficult period following the tragic loss of her father, Anil Mehta. His untimely passing has left the Arora family devastated. Mehta was found outside his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, where it was reported that he had sustained multiple injuries. A post-mortem revealed these injuries as the cause of his death. In his final moments, he reportedly made calls to his daughters, Malaika and Amrita Arora, before switching off his phone.

Malaika issued an official statement and sought for privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.
