The Lok Sabha elections of 2024 are a crucial event in India. As polling kicked off for Phase 5 in Maharashtra, many Bollywood actors made it a point to head to their designated polling booths early in the morning to cast their votes. Several celebrities were spotted at the polling stations, enthusiastically showing their civic responsibility. They posed for the photographers outside with their inked fingers outside the booths, a traditional gesture indicating they had cast their vote.
The participation of Bollywood stars in the elections shows how important public figures are in promoting democratic values and voting. Their involvement can influence public opinion and increase voter turnout, proving that every vote counts. Many actors, including Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, have used social media to encourage people to vote.
Actress Tabu was one of the first ones to go out and vote. She wore comfortable, baggy white shirt and black trousers as she went to cast her vote. She also wore a face mask for privacy. Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar went to cast his vote with sister Zoya Akhtar and mother Honey Irani. Both Farhan and Zoya sported black tees and trousers and posed for the paps with their mom, showing off their inked fingers.

Janhvi Kapoor was also spotted exercising her civic right. She was dressed in an elaborate fuchsia pink anarkali.
Among those came out to vote early was also Sanya Malhotra. She looked sporty chic in a black oversized t shirt and black sunnies.
Pooja Bhatt cast her vote with father Mahesh Bhatt in tow in Mumbai’s Bandra.
Taking to social media, Pooja wrote, “Was thrilled to see a long line at the polling booths at 7.00 am this morning. Keep it up Bandra! Keep it up Mumbai!
Please go vote. Your voice matters!”
Actress Shriya Saran also cast her vote in Mumbai. She was accompanied by her mother to the polling booth.
