OTT platforms have changed the world, as most people nowadays prefer to watch movies in their comfort zone instead of booking tickets and going to the theatres. Several films have earned a lot of money through OTT platforms and concluded contracts with various OTT giants before publication or production work. Here are the ten most expensive OTT contracts films.

Jawan

Jawan by superstar Shah Rukh Khan was reportedly sold to the OTT giant Netflix for Rs 250 crore. The film, directed by Atlee, earned Rs 1,138 Crore at the box office worldwide.

Salaar

Prabhas’ Salaar is one of the highest-collected films that caused a stir. According to reports, the film was sold to Netflix for Rs 162 crore before its release.

Jailer

Rajinikanth is one of the most popular actors in Indian cinema. He marked his comeback with the film Jailer, collecting Rs 650 crore. This blockbuster was sold to Amazon Prime Video for Rs 100 crore.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

The film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as the lead, was reportedly sold to Netflix for Rs 60-70 crore. The film is about the extravagant Punjabi Rocky and the intellectual Bengali journalist Rani, who fall in love with each other.

Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Pathaan was sold to Prime Video for Rs 100 crore. The film, a part of the YRF Spy Universe, had Deepika Padukone and John Abraham as well.

KGF 2

KGF 2, with Yash as the protagonist, was reportedly sold to Prime Video for Rs 320 crore. The film, directed by Prashant Neel, collected Rs 1000 crore at the box office.

Laxmii

Laxmii by Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, was sold to Hotstar for Rs 125 crore. It was directed by South director Raghava Lawrence.

Bhuj: The Pride of India

In the film Bhuj: The Pride of India, Ajay Devgn plays the role of an IAF relay leader. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film came on August 13 2021 in theatres. Later, it was sold to Hotstar for Rs 110 crore.

Sadak 2

Sadak 2 is the sequel to the 1991 film Sadak, where Aditya Roy Kapur and Alia Bhatt play the leads. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the film was sold to Hotstar for Rs 70 crore.
