Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming series, titled Showtime, which is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. At the trailer launch event of the show, the actor was asked about what kind of a place Bollywood is.

On Tuesday, the trailer launch event for the upcoming web series Showtime was held in Mumbai. It was attended by the lead cast and crew of the show, which included Emraan Hashmi, who was asked how can someone lose their way in the film industry. To this, the actor replied that it is all about a person’s perspective. He was quoted as saying, “When people say that Bollywood is a very bad place or it is an unfair place, I think it is a perspective of a person who is working here.” He continued, “If you have resilience, and can roll with the punches, I don’t think it is an unfair place.”

Emraan Hashmi’s web series Showtime is set to release on March 8 on Disney+ Hotstar. It is being directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar. The cast of the show also includes Naseeruddin Shah, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran, Rajeev Khandelwal and Vishal Vashishtha. It is being produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Mihir Desai, under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment.

In 2023, Emraan was seen in the blockbuster hit Tiger 3, in the role of the antagonist. The film starred Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead, and it was directed by Maneesh Sharma. It became the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film and eighth highest-grossing Indian film of 2023. The film was released on November 12, 2023.
