CHENNAI: Keeping in mind factors such as nutrition, physical strength and psychological balance, which are essential to ensure a healthy life, GuiRes Healthcare Pvt Ltd recently launched a Centre for Food, Mood and Exercise in the city. Located at Santhome High Road, the centre will provide advice on the kind of lifestyle best suited for every individual.Dr Udaykumar, a clinical psychologist at the centre, will offer consultation on mental health while Balaji, who heads the gym, will supervise physical training. The Guires supermarket in the centre has arranged the products based on their nutritional value. "The super market is colour coded. You can pick the most consumable products from the green racks, while the less and rarely consumable products can be picked from the blue and yellow racks, respectively. And the products are tagged according to their nutrient values," said Radhika, clinical and research nutritionist at CFME. "People should not go by advertisement, they should read the nutrient contents before buying consumable items," she adds. According to her, half the healthcare problems of a family can be solved just by controlling some of the items in their grocery list.Ganesan, CEO, GuiRes of Healthcare, said, the centre also catered to the welfare of pregnant women and people with diabetes and heart problems and offered doorstep activities.
