Kannada actor Naveen Krishna is looking forward to his upcoming film Hejjaru, written and directed by Harshapriya, to be released in cinemas on July 19. In an interview, Krishna revealed more details about this film.
The Cutting Shop actor credited Harshapriya for curating a compelling storyline that intrigued everyone in the cast. According to Krishna, Hejjaru’s teaser has further elevated the expectations of the audience from the film. He also lauded the director’s passion for filmmaking due to which he left his job, i.e.- fiction head of a channel.
Krishna expressed belief in the Hejjaru director’s vision and said that he has made an amazing film. The Kannada actor was also delighted that Kichcha Sudeep, one of the prominent Kannada actors appreciated their film. For those who don’t know, Krishna plays the antagonist in Hejjaru. Besides Krishna, this film stars an ensemble star cast of actors Bhagat Alva, Aruna Balraj, Gopal Deshpande, Vinod Bharathi and others.
This film also dominated the headlines when the second track from this film, Ivanyaro, starring Bhagat Alva and Leonilla Shwetha D’Souza, was released. Penned by Harshapriya, the song gives an insight into the story of teenage love. This track shows how love blossomed between the lead characters. Poornachandra Tejaswi SV composed the music for this film, while Shwetha Prabhu sang the track.
The song became a hit with the audience with the listeners. They appreciated all the aspects of this track. One of them commented, “Looks like an honest effort from a talented team…No unnecessary hype, purest form of entertainment…Awaiting for the release and success."
Besides this track, Harshapriya has also penned the title song for some leading serials. He also composed a song for the Dheemaku film, starring Naveen Krishna. Harshapriya reportedly got an idea about the plot and characters of the Hejjaru from Dheemaku’s introduction and was quite impressed. Naveen Krishna portrayed the antagonist in Dheemaku. Hejjaru is Krishna and Harshapriya’s second collaboration.
Hejjaru is billed to be the first-ever parallel cinema in Kannada. The film revolves around the lives of two individuals in two different timelines.
