Makers of HBO's popular series Game of Thrones have finally revealed the premiere date of Season 7 in a minimalistic teaser, giving us a glimpse of the past and the future. The next season will air from July 17.
After an explosive Season 6 finale, fans all over the world were waiting for the announcement of Season 7's date and they got it in a unique way. The makers organised a FB live where a block of ice was kept and fans were asked to type fire in order to see the date as the ice melted.
A tease was also released later. In the teaser, one could see life-size caricatures of animals reflecting each of the seven houses of Westeros. In the background plays the iconic statements from all the House Lords (past and present) about the iron throne and each other which ends with Jon Snow's statement about a bigger war coming. The tease ends with what looks like the white walkers.
GoT Season 7 is already 2 months late from its supposed premiere date as the filming took longer than usual because of the cold wave in Ireland where the shooting of the series takes place.
With Cersei now sitting on the Iron Throne, all the Starks heading home and Mother of Dragons on her way to Westeros, Season 7 is going to answer a lot of questions with a lot of action. Also, with Jon Snow's fate revealed, the world now wants to see the battle between 'fire' (Targareyns) and ice (White walkers).
July, come already!
