Granddaughter Dhanya Ramkumar gave the late Dr Rajkumar a special gift on his 18th birth anniversary. Dhanya Ramkumar appeared in a retro look in the song Ninade Nenapu Dinavu from the film Raja Nanna Raja. Dancer Kishen Bilagali also shook his legs with Dhanyaram in this song. This video was posted on April 24 on Instagram. It has started attracting a lot of attention from Rajkumar’s fans and the audience.
The video has a definite retro feel with a vintage car and look. Dhanya Ramkumar looks beautiful in a sleeveless blouse and floral chiffon saree. Dressed in white pants and a jacket, Kishen Bilagali was seen in a polka-dot shirt here.
The song Ninade Nenapu Dinavu from the film Raja Nanna Raja was a chartbuster hit even in 1976 during the time of the release. People still like it a lot and Dhanya Ramkumar has chosen this song which is relevant for all times. This film, starring Dr Rajkumar and Aarti, was released in 1976. GK Venkatesh had composed the music. Ch Udayashankar penned the lyrics and it was sung by PB Srinivas.
Dhanya was seen in the film Hide and Seek which failed to perform at the box office. In a recent interview, Dhanya shared “I believe in one thing and it was told to me by someone very important, whose name I don’t want to mention. He said that an actor’s job is done the day we say ‘pack’. If we go into it in more detail, like the release and how it happens, then it might affect the person. It is always best to move on to the next step. If it works, good. If it doesn’t work, do your best in your next film. You shouldn’t dwell on success or failure; either way, it goes to your head and it might affect your process. I believe in doing good work and continuing until I find something that the audience appreciates”.
Dhanya is the daughter of actor Ramkumar and granddaughter of Dr Rajkumar. Her brother Dhireen Rajkumar is also an actor in the Kannada industry. Dhanya Ramkumar made her acting debut in Suraj Gowda’s Ninna Sanihake in 2021.
