Director Anurag Kashyap revealed he almost replaced actress Amruta Subhash because her agent made unreasonable demands. He mentioned that due to these demands, she nearly lost her role in his film. Anurag, took to his Instagram Story and shared a note which read, “A lot of people are shitting on my dear friend @amrutasubhash after my interview. This post is to inform that I took her example because I could with asking her. Such is the love and trust between us. The film in question was Choked and she did that film beautifully. Culprit here was the agency, who made demands on her behalf and once I called Amruta, she didn’t know what they were asking and immediately corrected it and today she has even left the said agency.”
Amruta reposted the Instagram story, writing that she is really touched. She wrote, “I am deeply touched by this Anurag. Thank you.” She also shared the same in her Instagram post and captioned it as, “Thank you @anuragkashyap10 This gesture has touched me deeply. I chose my friends very wisely. I am lucky to have you as my friend.”
The filmmaker had told Bollywood Bubble that Amruta’s agent demand all sorts of things which result in her almost losing her part in his film. “I was doing a film with an actor that I have worked with three times before and I know how simple she is. (I am talking about) Amruta Subhash. Suddenly we were doing something and there was a list of demands that came from the manager. I said, ‘Have you lost it? What is this?’ The list of demands included a single door van, this, that… I called up the manager and said, ‘I am replacing her’,” Anurag had said.
“Amruta asked me what happened, what did she do. She didn’t know her what her own agent has asked. Then she yelled at her agent. Many times this has happened. I directly drop the actors if they demand,” he added.
