Ajay Devgn, who is celebrating his birthday today, will be soon seen in a sports drama Maidaan which is all set to release on April 10. The final trailer has also been released and fans are loving it. Well, amid this a report has come in that the actor will soon start shooting for his next film De De Pyaar De 2 and Son of Sardar 2 in June this year. Pinkvilla has mentioned in its exclusive report that the shooting of Ajay Devgn starrer will start in London.
The entertainment portal quoted a source saying, “Ajay will wrap up shooting for Singham Again and Raid 2 by the end of May and both films are scheduled to be released in the second half of 2024. He will be off to London in June to commence work on De De Pyaar De 2 followed by Son of Sardar 2.” The report also mentions that Ajay’s stint in London begins with a 15-day schedule of De De Pyaar De 2, which will be directed by Anushul Sharma.
“On calling it a wrap on the brief schedule of De De Pyaar De 2 in London, Ajay kicks off the sequel to his 2012 hit comedy, Son of Sardar. It’s going to be back-to-back shoot for Ajay,” the source added. The director of Son of Sardar 2 has been kept under wraps but according to our source, the team has roped in an acclaimed director known for comedies in the Punjabi Film Industry.
On March 13, T Series official has shared the news about the release date of the film. Taking to their Instagram handle, Luv Films and T Series official wrote, “De De Pyaar De 2 will release on 1st May 2025. The film is directed by @anshul3112, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan & @gargankur82 and written by @tarun.j.85 & Luv Ranjan.”
De De Pyaar De also starred Tabu in the lead role. It revolves around the star of a 50-year-old Ashish (played by Ajay), a divorcee who falls for 26-year-old Ayesha (played by Rakul). In the film, Tabu plays Ajay’s ex-wife. The story sheds light on the backlash Ajay faces for falling in love with a girl the age of his kids, and the complexities that come with it.
