At the grand reception that was held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Mumbai the Internet witnessed an absolute fashion gala. However, it was Rekha and Hema Malini who stole everyone’s breath away with their timeless allure.

The uber-glamorous Rekha yet again gave us a fantastic kanjeevaram look and it is indeed true that she is one diva who can never go wrong with a saree. The golden brocade work on her pink saree with purple hues was an absolute piece of art. The intrinsically embellished border of the saree was a sight for the sore eyes. She paired the saree with a purple blouse that had embellished sleeves and it was subtle and striking at the same time.

Rekha accessorised her look with stellar statement pieces of jewellery, starting from the mang-tika to the bold neckpiece-everything went in perfect sync with the saree. The gajra and the bangles were definitely the perfect addition to the look.

On the other hand, the ‘Dream Girl’ of B-town, Hema Malini opted for a stunning lilac saree. The beautiful saree featured a netted sheer border and was paired with a lovely blouse of the same shade. The mirror work on the blouse was absolutely fantastic and so was the floral embroidery on it. Undoubtedly, she looked straight out of a dreamscape draped in the six yards of sheer elegance.

The ‘Dream Girl’ accessorised her look with a statement diamond neckpiece, a matching pair of tear-drop earrings and a chunky diamond bangle along with a pristine white hand-clutch bag. The bindi added to the regalness of the look. She kept her hair and makeup minimalistic and aced the look and how!
