Will Rajnikanth's 'Rana' see the light of day?
Due to ill health the actor was admitted in the hospital thrice in two months

Mumbai: The big budget film, Rana starring superstar Rajnikanth went on floor this April. There has been a lot of talk about the leading ladies in the film. Deepika Padukone and Ileana D'Cruzare signed to do pivotal roles in Rana. But the film has been facing major issues with respect to being on schedule.

Within two months, Rajnikanth has been admitted in the hospital thrice due to ill health. He was admitted to the St. Isabel Hospital in Chennai on April 29th after a bout of vomiting and was discharged the same evening. He was again admitted to the ICU of the same hospital on May 4th with allergic bronchitis and fever. Now the doctor has advised him one month complete rest. This may put Eros Entertainment behind schedule.

In the meanwhile, Deepika who was initially supposed to shoot with the star, shot for a solo song sequence. She is scheduled to do the second installment of her shoot for Rana in June-July. Hopefully, by then the star would be up and about. Due to all the bad luck the film has been facing; director KS Ravikumar apparently approached a numerologist to change the title of the film.

The film is a 150 crore worth project, Eros Entertainment is bound to be worried. Although none of the production house representatives are ready to talk about the status of the film. With rumours of the film being shelved circulating the media, director Ravikumar clarifies that Rana is still very much on. He also said that Rajinikanth's dates are available for shooting in the second week of July. Currently, he is busy fixing up the schedules for the shoot in Thailand and London.

Will Rajnikanth's project see the light of day? The query may get solved when Rajnikanth returns to shoot for Rana in July.

What's your reaction?
