Why haven't social audits been implemented in all states? Aamir Khan questions Kapil Sibal, Arvind Kejriwal
Khan got to question politicians from three parties- Congress, BJP and AAP, on issues of corruption, and RTI.

In an interesting interaction organised by ABP News channel, Aamir Khan got to question politicians from three parties- Congress, BJP and AAP, on issues of corruption, RTI and social audits. And what came of it was quite amusing.

Aamir's show 'Satyamev Jayate' had recently highlighted the governments accountability in every single matter towards voters. The episode had highlighted scams and how the citizens are effected directly because of it. The show, which was aired last Sunday, has got tremendous response from the viewers. Keeping that in view, Aamir Khan questioned on matters related to citizen to political leaders like Kapil Sibal, Arvind Kejriwal and Sudhanshu Trivedi.

From social audits to implementation of Modern Nagarraj Bill, Kapil Siubal, a Congress party member gave ambiguous and perhaps evasive answers to Aamir's pertinent questions. From lack of cooperation from state governments to inclusion of new bills in the constitution to blaming the opposition for not passing important bills, Sibal refused to give definite answers to any of Aamir's question. When Aamir asked that why only the state of Andhra Pradesh had successfully implemented social audits, Sibal stated that it was due to the IT development in the state, to which Aamir promptly pointed out that the changes happened because Andhra CM wanted to bring it and not for the IT reforms.

While Sibal dismissed many of the questions and points raised by Aamir as a matter of 'debate', BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi blamed the inefficient administration for the lack of social audits in BJP governed states. Agreeing to the need of social audits in each state, Trivedi kept pointed out to the "constitutional and legal aspects".

Interestingly, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal agreed to the need of more social audits in the system and highlighted how the AAP government in the Delhi wanted to bring the Modern Nagarraj Bill in the state the day it came to power. Amongst the leaders who interacted with Aamir, Arvind Kejriwal's responses towards Aamir were the most positive.

Watch the entire episode here. See how Aamir raised important issues and the political leaders resorted to blaming each other, as usual. (Video courtesy: ABP News)
