Valentine's Day Poll: 'DDLJ' is the most popular romantic film of all time
Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' has won the poll with a solid vote percentage of 40.9.

New Delhi: It was released in 1995, but 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' is still ruling the roost when it comes to a film enthusiast's all time favourite romantic films. IBNLive had conducted a poll on the eve of Valentine's Day in which the readers were asked to pick their favourite romantic film from a bouquet that consisted more than 50 films.

The films which were included in the poll didn't belong to just one language. The team at IBNLive took extra pain in preparing a list that had representatives from all over the world. Though the focus was on Hindi films, but films from several other languages were also included in order to give the readers different perspectives towards romance and how different filmmakers approach it.

From Tamil, Malayalam and Marathi to English, Korean and Spanish, films were selected on the basis of the quotient of romance they displayed.

Now, this is the time to announce the result of the poll. 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' has won the poll with a solid vote percentage of 40.9. Interestingly, the film which came second is not a Hindi film. Leonardo DiCaprio starrer 'Titanic' grabbed 8.47 percent vote share. 'Jab We Met' captured the imagination of 4.79 percent voters. The other films which did well in the poll are 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' (4.15 percent), 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' (3.99 percent) and 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' (3.66 percent).

Some classics like 'Casablanca', 'Roman Holiday', 'Gone With The Wind' and 'Mouna Raagam' were also included in the poll.
