U-turn allowed at Ayodhya junction on Masab Tank

HYDERABAD: Commuters from Masab Tank intended to go towards Bazaar Ghat, Niloufer Hospital or AC Guards can save petrol and time on that extra round trip via Nirankari and Lakdikapul from now on, as the city police has decided to allow a U-turn at Ayodhya junction.Following repeated representations from commuters regarding the lack of a right or U-turn at Ayodhya junction, traffic police has decided to implement it for the benefit of those who want to take a U-turn or go towards the right side while travelling from Masab Tank to Lakdikapul. “This will be done without interfering with the straight flow of traffic from Lakdikapul to Masab Tank by utilising the dead space at Ayodhya junction,” additional commissioner of police (traffic) C V Anand said. After taking the U-turn, commuters should join the traffic coming from Lakdikapul side and take a left turn after travelling a few yards to proceed towards Bazaar Ghat or Niloufer hospital. Police asked the commuters to use this facility and warned them not to go on the wrong side.
