Ghaziabad: Aam Aadmi Party workers led by Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh on Monday took out a protest march in Ghaziabad against the Narendra Modi government's new land acquisition bill.

Addressing the protesters, Vishwas said that Modi's land acquisition bill is directly "targeting" people, particularly farmers, and their party will launch a movement against it.

"BJP government is pro-industrialist.The Prime Minister is deceiving the farmers in his program 'Man Ki Baat' being relayed on radio," he said.

Meanwhile, slamming the opposition parties, Kalraj Mishra, minister for medium and small scale industries, told reporters in Ghaziabad that they are bent upon maligning the image of the Modi government for "ulterior motives". "Land acquisition bill is completely pro-farmers," he said.

Mishra said that the bill framed by the NDA government is much better and progressive than UPA government's earlier bill. Former police commissioner of Mumbai and BJP MP from Baghpat, Satyapal Chaudhary, said that all the political parties which are opposing the bill are "misguiding" the farmers.
